I had a piece of basswood left over, so I made a little carving of a chipmunk, which seems to be my favorite creature. It isn't admittedly great art, but it was fun to do. I power carved this piece, then sanded it. The black stripes on the chipmunk are done with wood burning tips, and the white is acrylic paint. The stone is gray acrylic and brown base. I then coated it with natural wood stain.
